Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2, 2026

Please read these terms carefully before using Online Web Notepad. They govern your use of the Service and outline the rights and responsibilities of both parties.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Online Web Notepad ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Online Web Notepad is a free, browser-based text editor that allows you to write, format, translate, and export notes. All notes are stored locally in your browser. The Service is provided as-is, at no charge, and requires no account or registration.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to create, store, or distribute content that: • Violates any applicable law or regulation • Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others • Contains malicious code, viruses, or harmful scripts • Facilitates harassment, hate speech, or abuse of others Because your notes are stored only in your own browser, enforcement is inherently limited — but these restrictions reflect our values and your responsibility as a user.

Intellectual Property

All content you write in the notepad belongs to you. We claim no ownership over your notes. The software, design, and branding of Online Web Notepad are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the application itself without permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Online Web Notepad and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to loss of data. Because notes are stored in your browser, we have no ability to recover lost notes. Always use the Backup feature to preserve important work.

Third-Party Services

The translation feature relies on a third-party API. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or privacy practices of that service. Links to third-party sites from this Service are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when the most recent revision was made. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where we operate.
