Your privacy is fundamental to how Online Web Notepad is built. We designed the app so that your notes never leave your device — there is nothing for us to misuse, sell, or expose.
Online Web Notepad does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers. All notes you create are saved exclusively in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device. The only external network request made by this application is when you use the translation feature. In that case, only the specific text you select for translation is sent to a third-party translation API. No personal information, account data, or identifying details are attached to that request.
We use localStorage to save your notes and your preferred theme (light or dark). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. No analytics scripts run on this site.
When you use the built-in translation panel, the selected text is sent to Google's public translation endpoint. Only the text you explicitly select and translate is transmitted — the rest of your note is never sent. Please review Google's privacy policy if you have concerns about how translated text is processed.
Online Web Notepad does not integrate advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media trackers. We do not sell, share, or broker any user data because we do not collect any user data to begin with.
Your notes persist in your browser's localStorage until you clear your browser data or manually delete them within the app. Because your data never reaches our servers, we have no ability to access, recover, or delete it on your behalf. Use the "Backup all notes" option in the Tools menu to export a local JSON snapshot before clearing browser storage.
Online Web Notepad does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, there is no special risk to minors using this service.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
