I lost my notes — can you recover them?

Unfortunately, no. Notes are stored only in your browser's localStorage and never sent to our servers. If your browser data was cleared, there is no server-side copy to restore. Always use Tools → Backup all notes to export a JSON snapshot.

Is Online Web Notepad really free?

Yes, completely free. No hidden tiers, no subscription, no credit card required. Every feature is available to every user at no cost.

Can I use the notepad on my phone?

Yes. Online Web Notepad is fully responsive and works on any modern mobile browser. Your notes are saved to that browser's localStorage, separate from your desktop notes.
